Cozy Stitch helps users upload, organize, view, and track progress on cross stitch pattern files. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information. We collect information you provide when creating or updating an account, such as your email address, display name, password credentials, multi-factor authentication settings, and account security activity.
Pattern and progress data. We store pattern files you upload, generated thumbnails, parsed pattern metadata, tags, stitching progress, and viewer preferences so the service can work across sessions and devices.
Billing information. Paid subscription checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. We store subscription status, plan identifiers, customer identifiers, and related billing metadata. We do not store full payment card numbers.
Technical information. We may collect logs, request metadata, device/browser information, IP addresses, authentication events, error reports, and similar operational data used to protect and run the service.
How We Use Information
- Provide account access, authentication, multi-factor authentication, and password reset flows.
- Import, store, display, and synchronize your pattern library and stitching progress.
- Process subscriptions, trial eligibility, billing status, and account deletion requests.
- Send transactional emails, including email confirmation, MFA codes, password resets, and account notices.
- Maintain service reliability, security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, diagnostics, and support.
- Improve the service based on aggregated or operational information.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers when needed to operate Cozy Stitch, including hosting, storage, email delivery, analytics or diagnostics, payment processing, and security infrastructure.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Your Choices
- You can update your display name, email address, password, and security settings from your account page.
- You can delete your account from your account page. Account deletion removes personal account data and uploaded pattern data, subject to limited records we are legally or operationally required to retain, such as trial eligibility and billing compliance records.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information where applicable law provides those rights.
Security And Retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
Children
Cozy Stitch is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
