Privacy Policy

Account and sign-in information. This includes your email address, display name, account identifiers, sign-in credentials and security settings handled by our account-management service, and authentication activity.

Patterns and progress. We store uploaded files, Studio projects, generated images and thumbnails, pattern metadata, tags, stitching progress, work sessions, and viewer preferences.

Support. We keep support requests, messages, attachments, account references, and correspondence needed to investigate and respond to you.

Billing and trial eligibility. Stripe processes payments. Cozy Stitch stores subscription status, customer and subscription identifiers, plan and billing metadata, and trial dates. We also store an email-derived identifier to recognize prior trial eligibility. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Activity and diagnostics. We collect service activity, request metadata, IP addresses where available, browser/device information, time zone, approximate country or region where available, authentication events, error reports, and performance diagnostics.

Website analytics. With your analytics choice enabled, Google Analytics collects information about website visits and interactions, using browser identifiers and device/browser information. See the Cookie Policy for controls.

We use information to provide sign-in and account security, store and synchronize your patterns and progress, process subscriptions and support requests, assess trial eligibility, send account and service messages, and handle deletion requests.

We also use operational information to diagnose failures, maintain reliability, prevent fraud and misuse, and understand service usage. Optional Google Analytics helps us understand visits and improve the website.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our service agreement for account and product features; legitimate interests in security, reliability, support, and preventing abuse where those interests are not overridden by your rights; legal obligations for required records; and consent for optional analytics. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time.

We share information with providers as needed for hosting, storage, account authentication, email delivery, support, diagnostics, and payment processing. Google receives analytics information when enabled. Stripe handles payment information under its Privacy Policy; Google explains its processing in its Privacy Policy.

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer.

Cozy Stitch is based in the United States and serves users worldwide. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your data.

Cancel your subscription through the billing page before requesting account deletion, then contact [email protected]. If you cannot access your account or cancellation tools, contact us for help. Site owners handle requests and may verify ownership before deleting the sign-in identity, personal application account data, and uploaded files from active systems. This account-closure process does not limit statutory privacy rights.

Backups. Backup copies can retain deleted information for up to one year before those copies expire.

Support records. Support tickets and correspondence have no routine deletion schedule and are retained indefinitely for support history and dispute handling. They may contain information relating to a deleted account. You can request deletion or redaction of personal information; we assess those requests under applicable law.

Diagnostic logs. We retain logs according to operational needs for troubleshooting, security investigations, and abuse prevention. We have not established one fixed retention period across all diagnostic systems. We do not promise that account deletion immediately removes related logs.

Billing and trial records. Stripe determines retention for records it holds under its own policy and legal obligations. Separately, Cozy Stitch retains limited billing records where needed for accounting, disputes, and compliance, and email-derived trial-eligibility records to prevent repeated free trials. These local records are not governed solely by Stripe’s retention policy.

Use your account-management page to manage available profile and sign-in settings. Use the billing page for subscriptions. You can change your optional analytics choice through Cookie settings or the Cookie Policy.

Email [email protected] to request access, correction, a copy of your information, or deletion. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Rights can have legal exceptions; we may ask for information needed to verify your identity and explain any information we need to retain.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We do not condition statutory privacy requests on giving up rights that applicable law protects.

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Cozy Stitch is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow people under 18 to create accounts. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
